KERCHIEF cooper
KERCHIEF cooper
I love my mini cooper which is now going on ten years old. It inspired this kerchief. Behind the wheel, I quickly discovered that I needed a way to keep my hair out of my face. In warmer weather this kerchief is perfect for the beach or just scooting off to the store. The checkerboard stitch pattern is mimics gingham cloths used for summer picnics.
The kerchief is worked from the point to the wide end of head circumference, where a band is created by connecting the ends and working ITR. So, it is not ‘tied’ instead it goes on like a head band.
