CARDIGAN mamie
CARDIGAN mamie
The Twist Collective
The Mamie crop is all about the ribbing. It’s a bolero jacket that can be
worn formally over a dress or even as a bed jacket.
This is worked from the top down. The stitch count increases dramatically as you work your way down; just after the collar, an increase row is added to accommodate the tighter gauge ribbing that ensues. Then stitches are added with the sleeve increases down the yoke. Finally, there are two tiers of peplum increases. Just take your time and enjoy the rhythm of the knitting as the stitches increase on your needle; it’s a bit of a marathon but the swing that’s created in the jacket body is worth the journey.
size chest measurement (29¼”, 32”, 35”, 37”) – the ribbing also provides
lots of stretches as well.
